Been doing alot of outdoor sketches to improve my ability to draw landscapes. I'm focusing alot on contours and blocky shapes to try and make up elements in each composition. I still have a habit of fuddling with small detail every step of the way, but I feel like its showing itself in pretty dynamic ways.

Took one Character from my earlier lineup. Also, an archer girl still currently in progress. I'll make another four versions of the archer class. My ultimate goal is to have these two classes up against each other in combat. The sequence will involve a tower brimming with Archers that are reigning arrows on the Spearmen. The Spearmen's only chance is to take the tower from the Archer's control....

This is my current sketch book. I'm in the process of writing out the sequence for Sea of Kansas Episode II featuring the vampire Abigail Wimsey who G-Man encounters while riding a train. I'm also trying to work out the "philosophy" that is Sea of Kansas.
Post-graduation has engaged me to soul-search: I've dealt with alot of confidence breakdowns and re-evaluations of my current state in time. I feel alot of that shows in these few sketches...

Completion of Sea of Kansas Episode I
I started developing the character G-Man and his journey to the Sea of Kansas back in 2005 and have been working to its completion ever since. On May 11, 2012 I debuted Sea of Kasnas at the Otis College of Art and Design Senior Exhibition. It was over eight months of drawing all forty pages in the book and another month printing and subsequently binding the first copies together by hand at school. It was extremely rewarding being able to finally finish whats been in my head for seven years and utilize the concept to earn at BFA from Otis.
