Centaur at LA Art Share!

Last night Centuar (the art collective I'm involved in) started the installed for our show this Saturday. Its going to be an eclectic mix of amazing installation artwork and live painting that will be completely fluorescent. We're teamed up with FMLY FEST in a two-day Art event in downtown LA!

A little bit more about LA Art Share: it is an Artist's Collective that offers apartments to Artists at affordable rates and has open studios, a large theater and numerous gallery spaces to exhibit work.

My Mom commissioned me this piece for our kitchen. Cracked this one out just today. Kept it simple and graphic in nature.

Hundreds Under 100

Images from Sea of Kansas featured at the Hundreds Under 100 show at PermaDirty Project Space in Claremont. I have two prints from Sea of Kansas Episode I and an framed ink drawing “Nowhere, USA”. My work will be  show runs until February 15, 2013.

Space Babe

 Space Babe, start to finish. This piece is particularly heavy in photo composites. Saves time and energy and allows me to explore forms more readily. Composition changed alot in this piece, my gorgeous friend Svetlana provided the Space Babe icon.

Roses in her Hair

I have yet another digital painting to go along with the girl series (this is probably the most minimal piece out of the group). I have three more paintings left to go until I'm finished, then it is a matter of financing giclee prints for gallery shows.

Girl in the Mirror

I recently finished this Digital Painting I'm doing as apart of a larger series. This one is entitled "Girl in the Mirror". My friend Katy Pace posed for this painting at Heritage Park in La Verne, CA. The facilities there were kind enough to grant permission for me to use their historical house and grounds for my paintings.

Outdoor Sketches sprinkled with some Imagination

Been doing alot of outdoor sketches to improve my ability to draw landscapes. I'm focusing alot on contours and blocky shapes to try and make up elements in each composition. I still have a habit of fuddling with small detail every step of the way, but I feel like its showing itself in pretty dynamic ways.

Cat Masks, meow!

Working to finish these Cat Masks for Cat Stories II this Saturday, Novemeber 3. Its a Cat-themed masquerade show/party event held at The MIME in downtown L.A. I'll be selling these masks for $5 at the events' Merch Table.

Took one Character from my earlier lineup. Also, an archer girl still currently in progress. I'll make another four versions of the archer class. My ultimate goal is to have these two classes up against each other in combat. The sequence will involve a tower brimming with Archers that are reigning arrows on the Spearmen. The Spearmen's only chance is to take the tower from the Archer's control....
